Tursunov Gazhdembek Kuanishevich
Director of the Republican Scientific and Practical Center "Daryn"
By the order of the Minister of Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Gazhdembek Kuanishevich Tursunov was appointed Director of the Republican Scientific and Practical Center "Daryn".
Gazhdembek Tursunov was born in 1975 in Pavlodar region.
He graduated from the Pavlodar Pedagogical College named after V. Vorovsky, Kainar University, and the Innovative Eurasian University.
Master of Economics and Business.
He began his career as a teacher of Kazakh language and literature at the Oktyabrskaya Secondary School in the Irtysh district of Pavlodar region.
From 1993 to 2011, he worked as a teacher and deputy director in secondary education organizations in the Irtysh district of Pavlodar region.
From 2011 to 2013, he worked as the chief specialist of the Department of Education of Pavlodar region.
From 2013 to 2019, he headed the regional educational and methodological center for additional education "Ertis Daryny" in Pavlodar region.
From 2019 to 2020, he worked as Deputy Director of RSE "RSPC "Daryn".
From 2020 to 2023, he held the position of Director of the Center for the Development of Education and Psychological Services "Astana Daryny".

Department activities:
1) identification and development of students’ creative abilities and interest in academic activities, creating necessary conditions to support gifted children, promotion of scientific knowledge, involvement of scientists and practitioners in relevant fields to work with gifted children, organization and holding of various olympiads;
2) increasing interest in creative education and intellectual activity in the school environment and in society at large;
3) development of regulatory and legal documentation for conducting intellectual olympiads and competitions;
4) development of technologies for identifying and selecting talented students during olympiads, selection of the most talented students to represent Kazakhstan in international olympiads in general education subjects;
5) development of educational programs and international methodologies based on students’ creative activities; promoting their wide dissemination in the education system; continuity of general secondary and supplementary education programs; remote consultation for students and their academic supervisors;
6) identification and support of talented students in intellectual activities who are motivated to continue their education; creating conditions for intellectual development and support of gifted children, including assisting them with career guidance and further education;

Department activities:
1) development of current and long-term planning of the department;
2) creation of specific conditions for identifying, selecting, and supporting creative individuals, considering each person’s unique abilities;
3) organization and holding of events for gifted children across the republic (olympiads, competitions, tournaments, exhibitions, meetings, conferences, etc.) in various fields: general education (natural science, mathematics, social sciences), culture, art, sports, military affairs;
4) formation of participant rosters for events;
5) preparation of proposals and ensuring fulfillment of government contracts for events;
6) use and development of modern information technologies;
7) implementation of measures to expand mutually beneficial cooperation with organizations from nearby and distant countries on identifying and supporting gifted children;
8) creation of necessary conditions to ensure the safety and health of children during events;
9) preparation and submission of required reports, adherence to documentation design standards, and following established approval procedures;
10) conducting analytical work on the department’s activities.

1) implementation of educational programs to train and enhance teachers’ competencies for working with children;
2) conducting monitoring studies and analysis of educational institutions’ activities;
3) development of scientific and methodological literature;
4) organization and holding of republican and international conferences, meetings, seminars, forums, and discussion platforms on teaching and upbringing amid curriculum updates;
5) organization and holding of competitions, festivals, projects, and programs to consolidate innovative teaching experience and professional mastery;
6) pedagogical experiments on teaching and upbringing methods and implementation of their results in the educational process;
7) providing conditions for teachers to acquire digital literacy as part of a unified information space;
8) cooperation with leading educational organisations in Kazakhstan and abroad to share experience and implement best practices;
9) dissemination of current research in psychology and education;
10) development and implementation of Kazakhstani psychological methods to identify and develop children’s giftedness;
11) providing psychological support to students during competitions, olympiads, contests, etc.

4) managing information workflows related to intellectual games, scientific projects, olympiads;

6) updating technical capabilities of computers by installing software, antivirus programs, and other required tools;
7) providing user support for the center’s local electronic network according to established procedures;
8) monitoring the operation of shared office equipment and promptly arranging repairs and supplies;
9) undertaking computer equipment modernization as per established procedures;
10) performing selective monitoring of users’ compliance with usage rules for computing, copying, and other office electronic equipment.
